Speedy Wunderground Is Celebrating Ten Years
The revered London-based Speedy Wundeground, headed up by producer Dan Carey, alongside Alexis Smith and Pierre Hall, is celebrating its tenth anniversary by hosting a party at Village Underground featuring an array of Speedy alumni.
Speedy recently picked up “Best Small Label” at the AIM Awards and “UK Producer of The Year” at the Music Producer Guild Awards for Carey, as well as building significant interest in new signings Heartworms and O.
In addition to the event, scheduled for September 16th, the label is also releasing a limited edition 7” boxset; ‘The Dubs Vol. 1’ is set for release in August and is limited to 250 copies. Inspired by Carey’s time working alongside pioneering dub producer Nick Mannaseh, the Speedy leader has chosen his favourite tracks from the last decade, including a number of reworkings.
The boxset features one completely new dub remix from Carey, his take on Honeyglaze’s ‘Burglar’, named ‘Savage Gary's Robber Dub Dub Remix’.
